UX Writing, Teamwork Pro Filters

Teamwork Pro is a hiring tool that allows recruiters to evaluate and compare soft skills from job candidates. Once a candidate completes a personality assessment, Good&Co applies a scientific algorithm that shows how well the candidate’s personality would fit in with the current team. I worked closely with our UX design team to not only make the dashboard more intuitive, but also explain each section.

Pain Points

  • Hiring Managers did not understand what the filters meant.

  • Users did not know which filters were selected.

  • Users did not know when to use the filters.

The Solution

The UX design team opted for filtering to allow recruiters to pick and choose which criteria to apply. To help the recruiter understand when and how the filter was activated, our team chose a sliding on/off button. As each filter compares a candidate to a different aspect of the team or work environment, I created the text to explain what each filter measured and also when to use each filter.

UX Writing, Teamwork Pro onboarding

To boost customer numbers, Good&Co wanted to improve the signup process for the Teamwork Pro hiring tool. Without any consistent users or hot leads, the sales team considered a free trial offering.

Pain Points

  • Users had to endure 5 steps—all requiring input—before ever seeing the product.

  • Asking for payment upfront caused a 97.2% drop off rate.

  • Users did not “trust” the product, so it was highly unlikely that any user would invite team members before using the product first hand.

The Solution

To build goodwill with the user, I added a “Start Your Free 14 Day Trial” header. Below, in the subtext, I reiterated free and emphasized that, this time, there would be no credit card required. Instead of 5 steps, I required only the most essential information to create 1 simple signup page.
